Backbends can be intimidating for many of us, especially complex ones like wheel. It doesn’t have to be if we reframe what it means to be flexible.
In this virtual workshop, we will deconstruct the wheel pose to understand what are the fundamental muscular actions needed for a stable + sustainable backbend practice.
– how to mobilize the shoulders, spine and hips with targeted movement drills.
– what muscles to engage + how to recruit them for a sustainable backbend practice.
– variations of wheel to gain a deeper understanding of your practice + body awareness.
